Martin Rezk is a senior scientist at Rakuten Inc, Tokyo, Japan, working mainly on semantic information extraction, market segmentation, and user profiling.
He received a PhD from the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (Italy) in 2012. Before joining Rakuten he led the development of Ontop, a virtual RDF-store over relational databases.
His research interests include semantic information extraction, knowledge representation and reasoning, efficient query answering in OBDA and relational databases, query optimization, and natural language processing.
